Lakes and Falls

Lakes and Falls

Western North Carolina has no shortage of lakes and falls.

Some can be spotted with just a short walk, while others take a little more effort. Either way, they are all totally worth the hike. In less than an hour’s drive from Cullowhee you can be at Whitewater Falls, Sliding Rock, High Falls, Jaw Bone Falls, Carlton Falls, Cullasaja Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Courthouse Falls and Indian Creek Falls; to name a few. To learn more, go to   Discover Jackson NC, Waterfalls.

However, if it’s a boat ride or simply a dip in a lake that you’re looking for, you may want to look into nearby Glenville Lake, Bear Lake, Cedar Cliff Lake and/or Wolf Lake. Go to Discover Jackson NC, Rivers & Lakes, for more information on a number of Rivers & Lakes in the area. Contact Signal Ridge Marina for additional information regarding Lake Glenville or to reserve a boat for a leisurely outing with family and friends!
